Our Systems: Types of scaffolding we provide
Many trades in the Construction Industry require work-at-height solutions. In order to do a job safely, workers will need a secure platform to work on. That’s when scaffolds come into play. Scaffolding is a temporary structure built for the purpose of supporting the workers and any materials they bring with them. There are many different types of scaffolding we use to get the job done safely and securely; that being Frame and Brace Scaffolding and System Scaffolding.
Frame and Brace
The most widely used type of scaffold. Combined with Cross Bracing, these structures are popular for the ease of installation and secure foundation. Frames have different styles to them depending on what type of work is being performed on the scaffold. Each frame style has different sizes and capacities. Conveniently, the frame types are setup all in a similar fashion, so it’s easy to use the different styles of frames without worry. These are most fundamental and common type of scaffold used on many job types. Typically made of steel but they can also be aluminum but is not recommended to use Aluminum. These are the types of scaffolds we usually rent out to all contractors.
System Scaffolding
The most versatile type of scaffold. System Scaffolding uses a series of vertical posts with fixed connection points to create custom structures. Along with screwjacks, horizontal and diagonal braces, System Scaffolding uses these in tandem to build around almost any structure. Each post has a coupling pin at the top of it for stacking and a hallow tube in the bottom for footing or stacking. The connections points are at fixed measurements points to be able to connect the diagonal and horizontal braces, creating a strong and stable structure. This type of scaffold we install on request due to the complicated nature of configuration and having in house project managers to help come up with a plan.
With these scaffold types, we are able to provide the safest and easiest work-at-height solutions that work for any job type. The unique design of each scaffold type provides numerous ways of building around a existing structure. The customizability is something you can only achieve with scaffolding.
