From Steel to Green: How We Hid Scaffolding in Plain Sight

In the scaffold business, we’re no strangers when it comes to unique requests. When a client of ours reaches out with a problem, we tend to look for the best solution we can provide. Developing new strategies, getting new equipment, these are just a few of the approaches we’ll take to figure out the logistics of the request. So here’s how the story goes; one of our customers reached out with a predicament about our scaffold. Nothing was wrong with the scaffold but there was a humble request from the owner of the property. The scaffolding was nestled throughout the corridors of a busy, high end shopping district and the look of scaffolding was disturbing the flow of one of the local businesses. The client asked if there was anything we could do about covering up the scaffolding. One of our project managers Chris was lead on the job and brought the request to the thinking table. That’s when the Co-Owner of Haynes Scaffolding, Mike, came up with the idea to use mock foliage to cover the scaffolding. That’s when we decided to take action and started to get to work.

How The Scaffolding Looked when Our Client made the call. Mike Haynes (Pictured left) is already coming up with ideas.

So we arrived back to the jobsite and started to assess the area. “What would we need in order to make it look good but also cover up the scaffolding as well” was the question posed on everyone’s mind. Once a game plan was a achieved, Mike got to work coming up with a layout the would work with the preexisting scaffolding and help drawn attention away from the metallic steel of the scaffolding. “If we use a variety of materials, I’m sure this whole thing could look perfect!” Mike told Chris, they were working out the solution together. So after a few days, the material arrived and they started working on the cover-up job.

With help from the marketing team and our handyman, Chris and Mike started to get the place looking much better.

The Final Result, a big difference from before.

With the job finished up swiftly, Chris was able to contact the client and report back the good news. The client and the shop owner were ecstatic with the results, conveying their thanks for the quick response and amazing turn out. It goes to show you that no matter the circumstance, coming up with a creative solution can help make a great jobsite into a perfect jobsite!
